ABOUT RAINHILL PARISH COUNCIL

Rainhill Parish Council was established in 1894 and is one of the longest established Parish Councils in the country. The Council is the first tier of local government.

The Council consists of 14 voluntary Councillors who are elected for a four year term of office to serve and administer for the needs of the residents of Rainhill.

The Parish Councillors determine and set policy to cater for the social, cultural, welfare and environmental needs of Rainhill residents and employ a part time Clerk to the Council to implement policy decisions.
